Angel ornaments made out of noodles...revisiting my favorite Christmas ornament.

Christmas time is here!!!!  I've been super busy with work, again...but snuck in some time for crafting.  I almost have to, as it centers me!  I made more of my favorite ornaments.  You can't mess with a good thing once you've got it figured out.

Bow-tie noodles and a wooden bead for a head.  Glue gun together and paint.

Attach miniature ornaments!!

Beads for a Halo....

Beautiful!!  I made ones with little tea roses that I found in the wedding aisle at Michael's.  I love gifting these.  I can't wait to make more next year.

Halloween "mummy" candy bars

Wow, has it been a crazy busy year for me!  The last time I posted anything feels like eons ago!  I've been working tons, so my time is limited.  However, I couldn't pass up the opportunity to make these cute (and super easy) "mummies".

These will be tucked inside those cute Halloween glasses I found at Meijer!  A "mummy" surprise, and a great gift for "booing".
Speaking of which, we've already been booed!  Have you???  Have a blessed, safe and HAPPY HALLOWEEN!

Spring ~ Easter Wreath

I'm not sure if it's Spring fever...or if it's the fact that Easter is almost here, but either way I could not pass up the opportunity to make this wreath.  I was supposed to go grocery shopping, but ended up at the craft store instead.  I'm glad I got side tracked...  I fell in love with these two colors!!

Not my usual pairing, but I can't wait to see how it turns out!!

I love wrapping yarn around wreaths.

This yarn was in my leftover bin from a granny square blanket I crocheted.

I took apart the petals from their stems...and I used pins to pin the flowers into place.  Perfect crafting tool for this styrofoam wreath!  No messy glue gun.

Pretty!!!!  I fell in love with the end result as well!  I'm glad I went with these colors.  Very "Spring like".  Come on snow~melt already!!

Paper flowers...a rare crafting afternoon.

My youngest was home sick from school today.  Go figure...Spring is right around the corner.  It always seems like the weather changing brings on colds in our house!  But, I'm not complaining.  I got to cuddle with my youngest all morning long.  By the afternoon I was ready to try my hand at making paper flowers.  Inspiration struck when my youngest started asking silly questions about Spring.  Here are some of the flowers I made while snuggling and talking with my lil guy.

Crepe paper and cupcake liners.

This one is my favorite.

Scrapbook paper and buttons.

Cupcake liners...I'd always wanted to try this.

And there you go...my afternoon...crafting away while hanging with my son, who is ten times better this evening than he was two days ago.  By the way, I have no idea what to do with these, but am thinking they will end up in my front window once my own REAL flowers start blooming.  Happy early Spring thoughts to you!

St. Patrick's Day ~ mason jar treats

St. Patrick's day was celebrated in my childhood home, even though we weren't Irish. I looked forward to the corned beef and cabbage my mom would make. I can still remember the hissing sound of the pressure cooker! I actually didn't like the sound, it was loud...but I couldn't wait for dinner to be ready. Even though I don't make the traditional dinner in my own home...I still manage a small celebration on St. Patrick's Day. This year, I decided to make these mason jar goodies for my boys.

                      Aren't they cute?!!!

          started with all this....

                        2 bags of skittles sorted....

Mason jar lid covered in tissue paper...those lids, when removed, can be sharp for little fingers!

I chose rolo's for the "gold" at the end of the rainbow.  Obviously you can use chocolate coins...but my kiddos really love rolo's:)~~me too!

                Layer...top off with marshmallows

I found these cute shamrock stickers!

I had fun making these...and I especially love the cute little leprechaun hats I found at Walgreen's:)
